Bouyea was let go by the Spurs in September, but the Austin Spurs acquired his G League rights via trade prior to the NBA club signing him. The 25-year-old made 12 appearances for the G League's Austin Spurs in 2023-24, during which he averaged 15.1 points, 6.3 assists, 6.2 rebounds and 2.4 steals.
