Watch the moment a dad’s new Ford Ranger exploded into a fireball - with thick smoke billowing across three lanes of a packed motorway.

Daniel Adkins, 40, was driving his step-dad and younger brother to work in the $35,000 vehicle when it suddenly spluttered into ‘limp home mode’. He managed to maneuver onto the shoulder before all three men leapt out of the truck seconds before it was engulfed in flames.

Dramatic photos and footage shows the vehicle fully ablaze with fire and smoke billowing across three-lanes of the packed motorway. The driver managed to pull across two lanes and onto the hard shoulder after noticing the flames.
