The Spurs have exercised the third-year option in Wembanyama's contract on Friday, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports. This is far from a shocking decision from the Spurs' front office, as Wembanyama is already the team's most important player in both the short- and long-term picture despite having played less than 100 games in the NBA in his career following his rookie.
