WARREN, Mich. – A Warren woman murdered her 26-year-old son before killing herself, according to police. Police said the apparent murder-suicide happened after 8:22 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2024, at a home in the 13000 block of Geoffrey Drive in Warren.

A second adult son was also allegedly attacked but managed to escape the house and run to a neighbor’s home for help, according to police.

While the families gathered to honor their loved ones, they're upset that the police department hasn't reached out to them yet.

Officers attempted life saving measures, but both the mother and son were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Officers entered the residence and found that the woman had fatally shot her 26-year-old special needs child before turning the gun on herself.

Law enforcement is investigating a crash in Warren County on Friday that killed a 19-year-old woman and led to a 17-year-old boy being injured.
