Clayton Keller was starting to carry the puck out of the Utah zone when Pastrnak skated up to challenge him. As Keller cut to move around him, Pastrnak turned to skate with the Utah captain, but his stick got caught in the defenseman’s skates. Keller fell and the referee’s arm went up.

After a slow start, Matias Maccelli and Utah turned it on late to hand David Pastrnak and the Bruins a loss in their first trip to Utah. Through six games, the Boston Bruins remain searching for an elusive 60-minute effort. The inconsistent performances continued during Boston’s first-ever visit to Utah on Saturday night.

The Bruins coughed up a late one-goal lead and then fell to the Utah Hockey Club at the Delta Center in overtime, 2-1, in their inaugural trip to Salt Lake. They were fortunate to get a point.
