French prosecutors opened a criminal investigation Friday into the death of a baby pulled from the English Channel after an overloaded boat carrying migrants got in to trouble off the northern coast of France.

Thursday night but sadly a 'baby was found unconscious and sadly declared dead', French authorities have confirmed

A baby has died and 65 people have been saved from the English Channel when a migrant boat sank on its crossing towards Britain.
