An investigation is underway after a body was found along the Montour Trail in Moon Township. Officials were called to the scene around 3 p.m. Monday along the trail near the Nary Water Treatment plant. Homicide investigators were later called around 6 p.m.

A 44-year-old man found Monday afternoon along the Montour Trail in Moon with a stab wound died after being taken to a hospital, police said. Allegheny Township police were assisting Moon police and detectives are seeking information about the owner of a bicycle and bag found near the man.
