After using their first-round draft pick to select Oregon quarterback Bo Nix this spring, the Denver Broncos later added two wide receivers. First, the Broncos picked Oregon receiver Troy Franklin in the fourth round, then they added Utah’s Devaughn Vele in the seventh round.

On first-and-goal from the Chargers' two, Nix took a deep drop-back and found Franklin on a crossing pattern in the back of the end zone, cutting the Broncos' deficit to 23-7.
